Loki is a Hungarian Vizsla and a DogLost Somerset search dog. When a dog goes missing, he can use his nose to follow a scent and help search an area for them. That's the serious side of what he does.
The rest of the time, he's my dog — and he's very good at finding things that probably weren't meant to be found. So we started putting his nose to work for fun. Phones, wallets, tools, toys, bits of rubbish and whatever else we can think of. We hide it, give him the scent and see how quickly he can find it.
Some searches take seconds. Others take considerably longer. Sometimes we hide something so well that even we forget where it is. Loki doesn't care. If there's a scent to follow, he's off looking.
